Web Developer

Job Description

• Help develop the web apps and services
• Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from project leads, PMs, designers and other engineers
• Pro-actively enhance our web platform
• Create various web pages that will redirect users appropriately

Tech requirements

• Experience with Typescript
• Experience with React
• Experience with Next.js
• Experience writing Tests: Jest, React testing library, Cypress
• Experience with Git version control systems

Some things we consider critical

• You write understandable code with an eye towards maintainability, security and scalability.
• You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to product managers, designers, and other engineers is no problem for you.
• You write secure code and are aware of security best practices
• You write unit tests for the features that you build.
• You help with code reviews and debugging sessions

Bonus points

• 4+ years experience developing responsive web applications that work across multiple devices
• Experience with cross-browser quirks
• Data-informed product development: analytics
• Experience using REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus)
• Experience in small startup environments
